Chris Drowne, Manager
Chris,
31, a native of Upper Nyack, New York, was graduated from The Hill School in
1989, Bucknell University in 1993, and just completed his Master's Degree in
Modern European History at Villanova University. Chris teaches European History and Economics at The Hill
School in Pottstown, where he also serves as the assistant varsity soccer and
baseball coach, as well as a dorm parent.
He served as assistant head coach of the Orioles Legion team for five
summers.
Chris has coached every level of baseball from tee ball through Legion
and has worked with several college coaches, as well as some of the more
reputable coaches in the area such as Jim Finn, Bob Houck, and Jerry Reitnour.
Chris and his wife, Robin, and their son, Rusty, live in Pottstown.

Jeff
Pinder, Assistant Head Coach
Jeff, 28, a
native of Gilbertsville, was graduated from Boyertown High School in
1990 where he enjoyed a stand-out career for both the high school and
Legion team. Jeff competed in several state and national regional
tournaments with the Bears. He currently coaches Pottsgrove High
School's 9th grade team and has coached at the Legion level with
Pottsgrove and Collegeville, whom he led to the playoffs in the Greater
Norristown League. Jeff will coach third base and work with the
outfielders. Professionally, he works for Premier
Applied Coatings in Boyertown. Jeff and his wife, Elizabeth, have a
4-year old son, Mitchell.

Ron
Stiles, Jr., Assistant Coach
Ron, 54, is
in his 10th year with the organization; he has served as manager,
fundraiser, president, and assistant coach. Ron guided the program to
its first Berks County playoff appearance in 1989 and its first
consecutive winning seasons since the organization's inception in 1964.
He also coached Norchester's Legion team from 1993 to 1994. Ron
currently serves as the organization's business manager and the team's
first base coach and co-hitting instructor. The organization owes much to him for its field,
reputation, and present state. Ron also serves as Commissioner of the
Berks County Junior Legion and has been nominated for induction in the
Pennsylvania American Legion Hall of Fame. Ron served in the Air Force
and attended Owen J. Roberts High School. He and his wife, Linda, reside
in Exeter township and have two children, Ron, 32, and Robin, 30.

Marty
Bystrom, Pitching Coach
Marty, 42, a
former major league pitcher with the Phillies and Yankees, posted a
career 29-26 record and helped the Phillies win their last world
championship in 1980 by going 5-0 with a 1.50 ERA after being called up
from the minors. Marty has worked with many young pitchers in the area,
including former Birdsboro aces Toby Ranck and Jeremy Wunderlich. A
Florida native, Marty and his wife, Meg, reside in Geigertown, with
their daughter, Kristina, 13. Professionally, he works for the Benecon
Group in Lancaster, a group health insurance provider.

John
Guiseppi, Assistant Coach
John, 23,
helped lead Birdsboro to its first regular season Berks title in 1996
with his superior play behind the plate. Considered one of the area's
top defensive catcher's, John's work with the Legion and Twin Valley
pitching staffs is well known. The Plowville resident currently plays in
the West Chester adult summer league and catches for Palm
Beach College in Florida.

Chad
Rightmyer, Assistant
Coach
Chad, 19,
captained the Orioles to their third-place finish in the Berks League
last summer. A three year starter, Chad led the Orioles in several
offensive categories. He made the Dean's List at Penn State Berks
Campus this year where he also plays ice hockey. Chad will serve
primarily as first base coach and work with infielders and hitters
during each practice.
